some journeys begin unexpectedly but turn out to be the most beautiful stories of our lives. it feels like just yesterday that we promised forever to each other. our hearts were so full, and we were ready for a lifetime of love and shared dreams. little did we know that just a month later, life had something even more magical in store for us.
on January 16th, 2024, we found out we were going to be parents. Iโll never forget that moment. the disbelief, the joy, the tears in our eyes as we realized that a little life, a part of both of us, was growing inside me. in that moment, everything changed. our hearts grew, and we fell in love all over again, but this time with the tiny heartbeat we hadnโt even heard yet.
2 days later, on January 18th, we had our first obgyn checkup. at that point, our little one was still just a zygote, and though we couldnโt see or hear much, the excitement of what was to come filled the room. 2 week later, I got sick and my mind was filled with worry โwas our baby okay?โ
we rushed back to the doctor, our hearts full of hope and fear, but thank God, our baby was perfectly fine. and as a beautiful bonus, we got to hear that sweet, tiny heartbeat for the very first time.
it was the most precious sound, and in that moment, our connection deepened in a way I canโt fully describe.
every day since then has been a journey. one filled with excitement, wonder, and so much love. every single day, we talk about the future and dream of the day weโll finally hold our little one in our arms. thereโs a mixture of anticipation and a bit of nervousness, but more than anything, thereโs love. so much love for this little life that has already changed us in the most beautiful ways.
