To my dearest best friend,
We met when we were just 15 and bonded over our shared love of IB history. Since then, youโve been there through all the ups and downs of my teens and mid 20โs crises.
I remember the day you told me that youโd met someone at Stanford. I was full of apprehension - is he a toad or a prince? I wouldnโt know. It wasnโt until I got to meet him 2 years later, a couple of months before you got engaged, half a year more before you walked down the aisle, that I realized - youโve really found the one. Itโs in the way he looks at you, and the way you smile back to him. Itโs in the way he calms you down, when your life gets hectic and stressful. Itโs in the way he loves you for who you are, so authentically, so purely, and effortlessly. I have never seen you happier in your life, and I canโt imagine a more perfect person for you than Jesse. He is your home, and you are his.
To you Jesse, I say that you have won over the heart of my best friend, and the hearts of all of her friends, family, and now fans. We give her away to you, knowing that you have married a one in a billion kind of girl (as you already know, because otherwise we wouldnโt be here.) Thank you for giving her the happiness and the peace she so very much deserves.
