VIKNES WAREN @viknes_waren Viknes Waren is a self-taught artist and professional model based in Bali, Indonesia. Born in 2000 in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia, his upbringing was shaped by frequent relocations, which exposed him to a diverse range of cultural and social environments. Growing up surrounded by strong female influences deeply informed his worldview, shaping both his personality and artistic voice. Viknes began his artistic journey with a sketchbook and pencil, initially focusing on realistic portraiture. Over time, his style evolved into more simplified, expressive forms using acrylic paint. His practice spans multiple mediums including fabric and enamel paint, clay, markers, tattoos, and digital illustration demonstrating a fluid and experimental approach to art-making. His work is distinguished by human figures, vibrant color palettes, surreal elements, and symbolic imagery outlined with intentional strokes. Organic forms and bold compositions create a dreamlike atmosphere that is both personal and emotionally resonant. Inspired by dreams, feelings, and poetry, he describes his work as visual poetry a way to translate inner worlds into visual form. Through his art, Viknes seeks to evoke deep emotions and invite viewers into a space of introspection where melancholy meets honesty, and vulnerability meets playfulness.
